"As a celebration of the roasting championship result, I would like to commemorate by choosing a coffee that aligns with mine and Vote’s values and approaches when it comes to green buying and roasting.

- Ethical sourcing with an independent importer/exporter which prioritize making a positive impact to the industry (changing the status quo)

- Female producer (Women do a lot in coffee production, however it seldom gets recognition)

- I do not think we should be buying only high quality coffee for our lineup, but for this celebration coffee I would like to choose something a bit special

- Medium-Light roast to highlight the complexity of the coffee

I was asking a few export/importers about a suitable coffee. It took me a while as there are very few options from female producers.

In the end I found Yensi’s coffee through Semilla. It stood out as the best tasting coffee on the cupping table. Then I heard about her story that it was her first harvest of her own. It resonates my experience of first time competing in Roasting and had good result." - Mars Ng
