Never not drinking coffee with delicious decaf coffee.

Since we introduced a decaf roast to our portfolio, no one wants to go without one any more. Back in the days, decaf coffees would be sadly non delicious, bitter and just a sad replacement for the real cup. But you know what, we believe decaf coffee drinkers are the real coffee lovers. Because it’s about the love for coffee and not caffeine. But that’s our personal perception.

We are excited to release a slightly different one this time around to make sure we can keep drinking coffee even at night times, if you don’t plan to go dancing for a whole weekend.

Thanks to Cafe Imports we are able to share a coffee with you from the region of Huila. The name “Decaf de Caña” comes from the decaffeination processing method and means “from sugarcane”. Sugarcane is being used to create Ethyl acetate is an occurring ester (present in bananas and also as a by-product of fermented sugars) that is used as a solvent to bond with and remove caffeine from green coffee.

In our tasting sessions of this coffee we found lots of, you guessed it, sugarcane sweetness along malty notes and chocolate notes. It has a pleasant amount of integrated acidity with a cup of coffee that cools nicely, which means keeps on being delicious even if you forgot your cup.
