Bogalech Dukkale and her husband oversee a four hectare farm that she inherited from her parents, who were also coffee producers. She is also a mother of six.

From the micro-region that previously brought us Koromii and Bookkisa, we finally managed to buy a single-producer lot. Bogalech was identified as a producer with coffee of remarkable quality and consistency, as well as the right quantity for her production to be separated from the community effort that is Bookkisa. This year she was awarded a premium of 0.30€ per kg at the end of the season for the outstanding quality of her harvest. 

Together with our importing partner Osito we've been meaning to deepen our relationship to Sookoo Coffee and the producers in the area. We were delighted when the opportunity to buy Bogalech's coffee came along. This way we can help create more value at origin, and give you as our customers the opportunity to taste what this region has to offer.

This year has seen massive delays in the arrival of fresh crop Ethiopian coffee. As we're getting ready to finally release one of our all-time favourites Koromii, we're starting off the season with this very limited, delicious gem. We hope you will get to try it before we run out.
