The Koromii is an absolute crowd-favourite, sweet, syrupy and a little spicy. It's a coffee suitable for every ocassion: from something rich and milky in the morning, to a complex espresso for the coffee aficionado.
This coffee is harvested by a small group of farmers, who named their collective after the sub-region of the same name, Koromii. The Koromii farmers are part of the Sookoo group, who are managed by a local agronomy and permaculture expert, Ture Waji. Under his expertise, the Sokoo group grows coffee in semi-forest areas: under and nearby the shade of existing forest trees.
This coffee has a special place in our caffeinated-little-hearts. We've worked with the Koromii group for three harvests now. This harvest’s bounty reminds us of cinnamon, milk chocolate and ripe fruit. We aim to purchase the Koromii every single harvest and offer it for 12 months of the year.
