His dedication to quality and tradition was carried forward by his son, Mr. Fikadu Aaga, who continued to nurture the family farm and supply high-quality coffee to local markets. In 2015, inspired by this rich heritage, Mr. Habtamu Fikadu founded Kuri Mountain Coffee with the vision of elevating the family legacy to new heights. By revitalising the original farm and building a state-of-the-art processing facility in Gidami town, the company blends traditional values with modern innovation. In 2025, Kuri Mountain further strengthened its operations by opening its own dry mill in Addis Ababa, enabling greater control over every stage of the supply chain. This Grade 3 coffee is sourced from Kuri Mountain’s sites in Hambela and Uraga, located in the Guji Zone. In total, the company works with nearly 400 farmers cultivating over 1,000 hectares of land. Cherries are delivered to washing stations or designated collection centres, where they are carefully checked for uniformity and ripeness, ensuring only fully red cherries are accepted. The coffee is then dried on raised beds for up to 14 days. Once dried, it is milled at the Gidami facility to remove the dried cherry husk, before being transported to Addis Ababa for final milling and preparation for export.

Inzovu In Rwanda, The Land of a Thousand Hills, Inzovu is a coffee produced by smallholder farmers in partnership with the Rwanda Trading Company (RTC).
